ACADEMIC YEAR OPENING, & ORIENTATION

Issue 13 | 7th September 2026

Dear Beloved Alumni,

We are excited to inform you that the Seminary resumed academic work on 4th September 2026. New Seminarians were welcomed into the Trinity community. So far, about one hundred and ninety-nine (199) new students have been admitted into the Seminary. The Seminary organised an orientation for them on Monday, 7th September 2026. On the same day, an opening ceremony was held to formally commence the academic year.

During the formal opening of the 2026/2027 academic year, the Acting President welcomed students, faculty, and non-teaching staff to the new academic year. He congratulated the Rev. Prof. Frederick Amevenku, former President of the Seminary and Moderator-elect, of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church Ghana on his election, He also congratulated the new Seminarians and encouraged them to cultivate disciplined habits, maintain prayerful hearts, pursue academic excellence, and grow in spiritual maturity, ensuring that their daily routines strengthen rather than diminish their spiritual formation. He further used the occasion to appeal to all alumni to extend support towards the needs of the Seminary. In his opening devotion, the Acting President, Rev. Prof. Samuel Ayete-Nyampong, reminded the students that God had called them into the mission field. He encouraged them not to seek titles or positions, but to emulate the Prophet Isaiah by responding faithfully to God’s call with their lives.
