1. The Seminary welcomes a New President – Rev. Prof. Frederick Mawusi Amevenku
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. Prof. Frederick
Mawusi Amevenku as the new President of Trinity Theological Seminary.
He is an Evangelical Presbyterian Minister and a distinguished New
Testament Scholar. His six-year term began in August 2024, and we
look forward to the academic and spiritual leadership he brings to the
Seminary.
A brief
biography of Rev. Prof. Frederick Mawusi Amevenku
Rev. Prof. Frederick Mawusi Amevenku is the
President of Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon. He is an Associate Professor
of New Testament and African Biblical Hermeneutics. He holds a PhD from
Stellenbosch University in the Western Cape, South Africa, where he also serves
as a Research Fellow. Mawusi’s academic background includes a BD and MTh from
Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon; an LLB and MPhil from the University of
Ghana, Legon; as well as a Dip. Ed and B.Ed. from the University of Cape Coast,
Ghana. He is an ordained minister of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church,
Ghana. In addition to his academic work, he serves as the President of the
Pastor’s Association of his church. He has published in many peer-reviewed
journals and has contributed chapters to several books in the fields of New Testament
Studies, Mother Tongue Theologising, and Biblical Hermeneutics.
