ACADEMIC YEAR
OPENING, & ORIENTATION
Issue 3 | 26th September
2025
Dear Beloved Alumni,
We are elated to inform you that on the 5th of
September 2025, the Seminary resumed from the
academic break. New Seminarians also joined
the Trinity community. So far, we have
about one hundred and eighty-one (181) new students who have
been admitted into the Seminary. The Seminary organised an orientation
for some of them on Monday, 8th September
2025. On the same day, an opening ceremony was organised for the commencement
of the academic year.
The President, Rev. Prof. Frederick
Mawusi Amevenku, in
his opening devotion, reminded students that ministry
is a sacrifice of one's comfort and tradition, noting that a
divided loyalty cannot survive the course of the ministry. The
President encouraged the Seminarians not to
be distracted by fear but to stay rooted in
the Word of God, urging them to value the Trinity community
and always remember the mission of their calling.
President welcomes Students to the
2025/2026 Academic year
The President in official
opening the 2025/2026 academic year, welcomed students,
faculty, and non-teaching staff and encouraged the students to embrace the
academic year fully, ask questions, and pray without ceasing. He expressed
appreciation to both faculty and non-teaching staff for their steadfast
commitment, support, and dedication to the development of the
Seminary. (insert a picture)
The President recognises Sponsoring
churches
The President recognised the role
of the sponsoring churches and the alumni for their contribution to the
Seminary’s growth. He spoke with assurance that the Lord who has started the
good works shall bring them to a good finish.
Rev.
Prof. Abraham Olutoye Odeleye, an Associate Professor of
Pastoral Care and Counselling from the Nigeria Baptist Theological
Seminary, at Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria, was introduced to the
Seminary Community. The President informed the Seminary that Rev.
Prof. Odeleye has joined the Seminary for
his sabbatical leave and will be with the Seminary for the whole
academic year.
