Alumni Relations – Commendation Service for IFES
Issue 12 | 4th September 2026
Dear Alumni,
We are happy to inform you that the Seminary has
organized its maiden commendation service for the International Fellowship of
Evangelical Students (IFES) who came from different parts of Africa, i.e.
Liberia, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Zambia, Malawi,
Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Ghana to offer the Master of Arts in
Ministry sandwich program.
During his speech, the Acting President, Rev. Prof.
Samuel Ayetey-Nyampong, reminded students that true leadership is about serving
others, not wielding power. He urged them to practice humble leadership by
following Jesus’ example and living out his core teachings.
The Acting President and some members of faculty who
spoke with the Alumni Office believed the Master of Arts in Ministry Sandwich
program is a great achievement for the Seminary and an opportunity to admit
students from across Africa and around the world to receive sound theological
education. He announced that a new international cohort of students have
enrolled in the Master of Arts in Ministry sandwich program. He believed that
these international admissions were a good sign to the world on the preference
of Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon Ghana for quality theological education
