MATRICULATION CEREMONY

Issue 15 | 25th September 2026

Dear Alumni Family,

On Friday, 25th September 2026, the Seminary community celebrated its 62nd Matriculation ceremony, welcoming a new student.

the Acting President, Rev. Prof. Samuel Ayete- Nyampong, delivered a charge on the theme "Called for Such a Time as This." Addressing the new students, he noted that many Christians today lack a deep knowledge of the One who called them. Drawing from Matthew 28:18-20, he urged the matriculants to anchor their faith firmly in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Rev. Prof. Ayete-Nyampong also highlighted the urgent need for global missions. He observed that the African Church currently faces numerous theological distortions, leaving many searching for answers and a deeper connection with God. He challenged the students to remain mindful of their divine calling, allowing their time at the Seminary to equip them to boldly share the Gospel and intentionally make disciples of all nations.

The Acting Academic Dean, Rev. Dr Emmanuel I.K. Addo, called upon the student cohorts to take the Matriculation Oath. Solemnly administered by the President, the oath committed the new students to academic excellence, spiritual devotion, loyalty, and mutual respect within the Seminary community.

The ceremony continued with the official signing of the Matriculation Book, where each student signed next to their name to formally accept the Seminary's regulations and mark the official start of their academic journey.
The event concluded with a photography session to capture this joyful milestone. A selection of these photographs is displayed below:
