Members of the community ranked faculty of Trinity Theological Seminary may borrow up to thirty (30) books until the end of each semester and returned after the semester. On the other hand, PhD. candidates of the Seminary may borrow up to twenty (20) books until the end of the academic year (May 31st).
Undergraduate and graduate students, however, can borrow up to four (4) books to be used for two (2) weeks and returned.
Staff can borrow two (2) books to be used for two (2) weeks. Complimentary borrowing privileges are extended to the staff of the Seminary.

Penalties for Overdue Books & Others

  1. Books borrowed by Students and staff not returned after the due dates attract a fine of 0.5 penalty unit a day per book for lending books and 1 penalty unit per book for reference books. 
  2. Lost or damaged book would be paid for at twice the market price. 
  3. If the book is an old one and is out of print a suitable substitute printed recently would be demanded twice the market price.

Seminary Idenitification Cards

Seminary Identification cards are required for borrowing library materials and must be presented at the Circulation Service Desk, located near the main entrance of the Library.
Current students, faculty and staff of Trinity Theological Seminary must obtain their identification cards from the Seminary’s Administration Office.

Books for Lending, For reference, on Reserve and Theses/Long Essays

  1. Books borrowed from the Library by students can be kept for two (2) weeks only and are renewable for additional one (1) week if no request has been made for them unless they are pursing doctoral programs. 
  2. Reference books are normally not meant for lending or borrowing. However, one book can be borrowed over the weekend on Saturday afternoon at 2pm and returned on Monday morning at 9am. 
  3. Reserved books are not for borrowing at all. They can however be collected for photocopying of some pages if the photocopy is to be done outside the Library premises. In that instance, the student has to register his/her name and the author/title of the book in a notebook which is provided at the front desk and all provide his/her student ID card. It is the duty of the student to ensure that he/she has signed against the record after returning the book. 
  4. Theses and long essays are also not for borrowing nor photocopying. By submitting one’s ID card student can be allowed to make reference to any of the long essays and theses in the premises of the Library. Over reference of one particular theses or
    long essay is to be prevented to avoid unfair use or plagiarism/illegal use which can result in dismissal from the seminary. 
  5. Every student will be required to seek clearance from the Librarian who will certify that they do not have Library books with them before they graduate.

Non-Theology Reader users of the Library

The Library management recognizes patrons who come to the Library to read their personal materials other than theological materials provided by the Library.

These non-theology reader users are also to observe all regulations governing the use of the Library which include the code of conduct, security regulations, courtesy and noise regulations, food and beverage regulations, opening hours, etc.
